Cosmic Crisp® Social Media Policy

Social media is increasingly popular and accessible as a medium for brands to connect with consumers. With this growth, however, come new regulations, changes, and queries. Above all, we want you to enjoy your experience working with Cosmic Crisp®! We have chosen you to represent the brand on social media because we appreciate your thoughts and opinions. Whether you are acting on behalf of Cosmic Crisp® or using your personal social media accounts or blogs to discuss our products or business (e.g., projects, promotions, sales, events, company content, and initiatives), always use good judgement and remember you are representing the brand.

We aim to assist you in navigating the complexities of posting on social media in relation to Cosmic Crisp®, so we’ve put together a few helpful tips.

Stay on Brand and On Message

  • The Cosmic Crisp® brand name must always be followed by the registered trademark symbol (®). This is crucial for establishing our brand, differentiating ourselves from other apples, and safeguarding our intellectual property.
  • Social media provides an excellent platform for a tone that is conversational and informal, yet remains professional and tasteful. Please refer to our key messages and infographic for wording on how we describe the Cosmic Crisp®.
  • Stay current with the brand’s trademarked taglines, campaign hashtags, and approved graphics and icons.

Use Good Judgement

  • You are responsible for knowing and adhering to the appropriate social media guidelines. This includes, but is not limited to, the AANA Code of Ethics and accompanying practice notes, platform-specific terms and conditions, and local regulations.
  • Give (legal) credits where they are due, and never use or repurpose content without permission. Negative comments are inevitable, but let us handle those.
  • Avoid interacting with negative remarks and inform the appropriate personnel at Cosmic Crisp®.
  • Refrain from posting sensitive, private, or confidential company information (e.g., unannounced product launches and promotions, internal sales results, company strategy, pricing information, or comparisons). This can result in disciplinary actions or termination of agreements, which we want to avoid. If you are unsure about what to post, we are here to help. When in doubt, reach out!

Share the Love

  • We encourage you to share your genuine opinions and experiences – just ensure you adhere to the AANA Code of Ethics by disclosing your relationship with the brand. This involves tagging the brand in the visual, mentioning the brand (@cosmiccrispaus) in the caption, and using the hashtag #sponsored.
  • If you are reposting content or mentioning another user, please follow proper etiquette by mentioning (@example) and tagging the relevant parties.

Always...

  • Use ® and appropriate
  • Maintain a professional yet conversational tone
  • Disclose your relationship to the brand – be honest!

Use Caution When...

  • Repurposing or reposting content
  • Mentioning specific growers, partners, or companies
  • Responding to comments and questions – ask for help!

Never...

  • Make unsubstantiated claims
  • Criticise or bash other brands or companies
  • Force your opinions on the audience
